Cognitive Science & Data Science · UC Berkeley · Class of 2030
Alisha got into UC Berkeley on a record that runs from a neuroscience bench to a health-tech startup: research under Dr. Naweed Syed at the Hotchkiss Brain Institute — the lab that built the world's first neurochip — 1,000+ ECGs processed to train arrhythmia-detection AI at TeqDr, a publication credit in an international peer-reviewed medical journal, and a board seat at a nonprofit running nurse-training projects in Pakistan and Tanzania. She is direct about what actually moved the needle: more than academics and rigor, she had a personality, a passion, and a direction that ran clearly through her whole high school journey. She knows exactly how stressful this process feels, and she knows how to sit down with a student and pull a real story out of them.
