Rubab got into the University of Virginia on a record built across a research lab, a courtroom and a student government office: cardio-oncology research at VCU's Pauley Heart Center under Dr. Gregory Hundley, analyzing MRI scans from the UPBEAT study; varsity Mock Trial captain with two Outstanding Witness Awards; Senior Class Secretary; and founder and president of her school's Pakistani Students Association. As NHS Scholarship Chair she ran the peer-tutoring program that matched 30–40+ students with tutors. She is now pre-med at UVA's College of Arts & Sciences. She knows exactly what it takes to carry hard classes, real activities, college prep and an actual life at the same time — and she is clear that the students who manage it are the ones who had someone honest to ask. That is the person she is here to be.
